Family Ministries

Sunday Child Care (ages 0-3)

Our nursery volunteers are screened and trained to provide your child with a safe, healthy environment during the worship gatherings. When you arrive, a greeter will be happy to accompany you to the nursery area so you can take a look around and get to know the volunteers who will be taking care of your child.

God’s Backyard (grades K4-4th)

Our children’s ministry is an interactive program that closely follows the morning worship gathering, but on a child’s level. The songs are energetic, the lessons are Biblical but also fun.

As a parent, you are welcome to accompany your child to their first visit to God’s Backyard and to sit in on the session. We’d love to hear your feedback.

Of course, your children are welcome to remain with you in the worship gathering but we do ask that you take the necessary steps to ensure they will not be a distraction.

Teen Ministry

Teenagers love to have fun, but the teen years are also a serious time. We strive to strike a balance between enjoying our time together and challenging each other to spiritual growth.

Youth Group – Sunday evenings at 6pm at the church building.

Small Groups

We have a variety of groups that meet during the week for various purposes. Currently, the groups are:

  • Sundays 7pm @ the church – led by Lyn Swenson
  • Tuesdays 9am @ the church – a ladies Bible study that goes through many different topics and book studies
  • Wednesdays 12pm @ the Brady Sullivan cafeteria, Elm St, Manchester – led by Greg Jones
  • Wednesdays 7pm @ the church – a prayer group led by one of the elders
  • Thursdays 6:30pm @ 222 Whipple St, Manchester [changing] – led by Doug Wilcox

We are currently planning to develop small groups in Hooksett, Nashua, and possibly one other location. Keep watching for the news.

Prayer Requests for the Week of Jan 13, 2010

Prayer for Our Church

Let’s all be praying for all the members of Grace/Heritage Baptist Church. When God plans BIG things for a church- as He no doubt has with the merge of our two churches- the enemy is not happy! As Pas. Erik said on Sunday, “This is not an accident!” The enemy will/does use everything he can to disrupt our lives and cause discouragement. Let’s all keep each other in prayer and bind the enemy from having ANY control in ANY area of our lives! Be sure to claim Matt 18:18-19… promises God gives to us to protect us from all the enemy’s intentions to bring trouble into our lives.

GOD IS GOOD   ALL THE TIME!! blessings, Kathy DeFilippo
